My introduction
to Disney (other than when I was a child watching the Walt
Disney World show and all the Disney movies) started in June
of 2008.
Cindy
and I had started traveling, and since she was an avid fan
of not only Disney World, but of Disney in general, she thought
it would be a good idea to take one of my daughters and my
granddaughter to Disney World.
Now, at that time,
Cindy had
already been to Disney World for (7) years in a row (a couple
times a year in some cases), as she pretty much raised her
three daughters on Disney, and now, the whole family are Disney
fanatics (not a bad thing), including her oldest daughter
Julie
LaChance, and son-in-law Jon, and of course, they're raising
their daughter Olivia in that same Disney fashion. :-)
Initially, I thought
it would be great for my granddaughter, but that's as far
as it went for me. Having fun at Disney World at my age didn't
sound realistic. Of course not, I had NEVER been.
How wrong I was!
Since June of 2008,
Cindy and
I have enjoyed Disney World several times. We actually came
back in December of 2008. Just the two of us, and met a couple
of dear friends, Karl
and Terri Rosenhan a few times for lunch and dinner. They
actually took the picture above, when we all had dinner at
Narcoosees with Karl's mom.
We became DVC (Disney
Vacation Club) members in early 2009, and came back in
December of 2009 as DVC members (a whole different experience),
to honor the Rosenhans
renewing their vows for their 10th Wedding Anniversary,
and shared some good times with them, as well as other dear
friends Mike and Sondra Branson and their son Hayden.
Needless to say,
I've been "Disneyfied"!
I created this
site after my first visit to Disney World in 2008, and our
goal is to make this site as informative as possible, and
hope it will be useful in enhancing your visits, not only
at Disney World, but all Disney places - All Things Disney!
I will try to keep
this site up-to-date as much as possible, but when I'm in
a hurry (or just in a lazy mood), I tend to blog or tweet,
so you can always check our Disney
Blog and/or follow
us on Twitter.
